_{Assalamu'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

Second of the four caliphs of Islam, 'Umar Ibn Al-Khattab. May Allah(subhanahu wa'a Tala) be pleased with him. Ameen.

"Take account of yourselves before you are brought to account"
-'Umar Ibn Al-Khattab

'Umar was highly revered by all:

Muhammad(sallallahu allaihi wasalaam) said: "Wherever Satan encountered 'Umar since the altter embraced Islam, he fell on his face." [Reported by Sudaysah]

Some hadiths regarding 'Umar Ibn Al-Khattab:

Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, mentions that 'Umar died having observed the fast his whole life.

"'Umar's views were confirmed by the Qur'an."

Ibn 'Umar said: "Whenever people held a certain view about something and 'Umar held another, the Qur'an was revealed to confirm his view."

'Umar's endless humbleness:

Though he was the caliph, on top of an incessantly expansing state, 'Umar Ibn Al-Khattab was a living example of humbleness not only to the poorest and humblest of subjects, but also for entire generations of Muslims up to our present time.

There are more hadiths that can show you how much of a great companion and caliph was 'Umar. We pray that insha'Allah Allah(subhanahu wa'a Tala) makes us meet all the great followers of Islam and be upon those whom Allah(subhanahu wa'a Tala) will say salaam, i am pleased with you. Ameen.

I will not say it as a summarized artwork of the caliph because there are so much details regarding his life and his reign as a caliph of Islam, even those his caliphate only lasted for two years and three months, a lot of battle were fought during his time and there were a some rising of false prophetess as well.

"Hence, the state whose foundations were laid down by Abu Bakr was then capably governed by 'Umar Ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, in a way that can only be compared to that of prophets. Sending out massive armies to foreign lands in order to spread Islam and simultaneously delineating a well-thought-of system of government that he crowned with his wisdom, justice and piety were weighty tasks that only a firm, relentless man like 'Umar Ibn Al-Khattab could have handled."

i just read history of islam after your prophet mohammad pased away...
